Kitout is free to use. No setup fees. No monthly subscription. No minimum orders. A small 1% fee is deducted from each order to cover Kitout's operating costs — that's it. Every dollar above production and shipping goes straight to your club.

How it works

What happens to each order

1. Production cost

The cost to print and manufacture the item, charged at cost from the print-on-demand provider (Printful, Printify, or Gelato). Varies by product.

2. Shipping cost

The cost to ship the item directly to the customer, passed through at cost. Kitout does not mark up shipping.

3. Kitout fee

1% of the retail price. This covers Kitout's operating costs — servers, infrastructure, and payment processing. No profit is taken.

The rest

After deducting production, shipping, and the 1% fee, everything else is paid directly to your club's bank account via Stripe Connect. The club sets the retail price and keeps the margin.

Example

A $55 club hoodie

Illustrative prices. Actual production and shipping costs vary by product and provider.

Retail price (set by the club)$55.00
Production cost− $28.00
Shipping cost− $9.00
Kitout fee (1%)− $0.55
Your club earns$17.45

Clubs set their own retail price. The higher the margin you set, the more your club earns per sale.

What You Never Pay

Pricing Questions

When does the club get paid?

Payment is processed when a customer's order is placed and confirmed. After production and shipping costs plus the 1% fee are deducted, the remainder is paid out to your club's connected Stripe account. Stripe's standard payout schedule applies (typically 2 business days).

Are there any other fees I should know about?

No. The only deductions from each order are the production cost, shipping cost, and the 1% Kitout fee. There are no setup fees, no monthly fees, no minimum order requirements, and no hidden charges.

What if I set my retail price too low?

Kitout shows you the production and shipping cost before you publish a product, so you can see your margin in real time. The platform prevents you from setting a price below cost.

Can I change my prices after the store is live?

Yes. You can update retail prices at any time from your club dashboard. Price changes apply to new orders only — existing orders are fulfilled at the price the customer paid.
